The first Five Nights At Freddy’s (FNAF) game came out on August 8th, 2014 and since then 11 other games have been released, the most recent one coming out on April 28, 2021. When the new trailer for the FNAF movie came out fans were ecstatic, but when it came to the actual movie, some were quite disappointed. Knowing the lore of the game, it was a little underwhelming seeing that the movie didn’t follow any of it. The only thing they kept the same were the animatronics. Throughout the movie, we follow the character Mike who is played by Josh Hutcherson. He takes on any job he can to ensure he can raise his little sister since his mother died and his dad walked out. Personally, I don’t understand the use of a new family, I feel like the way that they attempted to include them just made a lot of holes in the movie’s plot. There were some parts of the movie where the animatronics were simply acting like kids, which I think a lot of the audience watching were disappointed with. But you have to remember that the animatronics are in fact children. The movie was overall really good, but it didn’t really meet the standards I expected.
