Crown Point Auto technology students competed in The UTI Top Tech Challenge at the Lisle Illinois. The students competed in a written test and a hands-on portion of the contest. Senior Landon Gust and junior Quinten Osburn finished in 9th place in a combined written test and hands-on competition. Both of the students received a $1000.00 scholarship from UTI.
“I was pretty excited when I won the scholarship and to actually place and win money for it,” Gust said. “In summary, I was pleased with our performance, this is a building year for us due to 3 out of the 4 students that we took hadn`t ever completed in a completion before. The juniors are already talking about hitting them harder next year.”
