As the school year reaches an end, seniors have many events to look forward to. This past Friday, seniors at CPHS were invited to attend Friday Night Lights.
Upon entering, there were bags with free t-shirts, Albanese gummy bears, and other small things. Students brought their own blankets and lawn chairs to spread out across the football field. There were many games like giant Jenga, spikeball, cornhole, and even an outdoor bowling set. There were also multiple inflatables set up next to the fieldhouse. Seniors also got to enjoy free drinks, Gelsosomo’s pizza, and desserts.
“I had a really great time playing on the bounce houses. It was a nice moment to share with all my friends,” senior Haley Galocy said.
Everyone wrote their name on a slip of paper and entered into the raffles. Each raffle included different prizes such as gift cards and gift baskets. At 7 and 8 o’clock there were lotteries where students won larger prizes, which included mini-fridges, computers, speakers, and more.
“My favorite part was hearing my name being called as a winner. I won a candy gift set with two gift cards. I enjoyed spending that time with all my friends and seeing everyone all in one place,” senior Amani Aman said.
Despite the heat, everyone seemed to enjoy being with their friends. FNL was a nice moment to reflect, and for all the seniors to bond together with the many activities. Shoutout to all the seniors who attended and congrats to anyone who won something!
