The Girls Golf team celebrated their seniors with a win against Andrean High School

After their match against Andrean, the Girls’ Golf team celebrated seniors with pizza and gifts. Seniors got to party with their teammates and look back on their previous years as a golfers. “Finally being a senior is a bittersweet feeling,” Sophia Matthews (12) said. “I used to watch my former teammates have their senior nights and now that it’s my turn I was super excited, but it also makes me sad that I have to leave my golf family.”

Makenna Carmichael is a senior at Crown Point High School. This is Carmichael’s third year on staff. She is the Website and Social Media Editor for Excalibur Yearbook and Inklings Newspaper. Carmichael’s love for photography and writing drove her to join the yearbook and Inklings staff. Carmichael works as a STEAM teacher at the YMCA and as a gardener at Practically Magic Garden. She also does freelance senior and portrait photography. When not working or in the journalism room, Carmichael enjoys performing with the school’s color guard, doing art in the National Art Honor Society and SPLAT club, working with the theatre’s publicity crew, and being a bulldog mentor.
