Taking part in school activities, the participants in the Powderpuff game show off their school spirit. The freshmen beat the sophomores, and the seniors beat the juniors. “[The Powderpuff game] is just a great way to get to know the newer freshmen and have fun,” Keira Crane (10) said. “[My favorite part of the game] was seeing all of the sportsmanship between all the teams.”

Alyssa Torres, Advanced Coverage Editor
Alyssa Torres is a junior at CPHS. This is Torres’ third year on staff. Torres is the Advanced Coverage Editor this year for the Excalibur Yearbook, so she will provide fair coverage for students. Torres’ passion for writing inspired her to join staff. She enjoys writing copies and stories about sports and clubs. Outside of the yearbook staff, Torres is involved in Student Council, Key Club, wrestling manager, Mock Trial, and CASS.
Elayna Hayden, Staff
Elayna Hayden is a sophomore at Crown Point High School. This is Hayden’s second year on the Excalibur staff. Hayden’s love for journalism started when she was in 5th grade. Hayden’s writing skills have progressed immensely throughout the years, and she even writes short stories in her free time. Hayden also enjoys taking pictures of wildlife whenever she is in a new place. Hayden is involved in Student Council and Key Club at the high school. Hayden’s goal is to study environmental and marine science in college, and she hopes to enter a career where she can care for and help the environment in any way she can.
