The Crown Point High School Pep Rally is a major event of Crown Point’s annual homecoming week.
Students and teachers experience shorter class times during the day as the pep rally takes place at the end of the school day. During this pep rally, all CPHS teachers and students make their way to the gymnasium and bleachers for many different types of activities.
From students participating in the tug of war, to CPHS clubs showcasing their school pride, and students and teachers competing in relay races, there is always something eventful going on. “The pep rally is so awesome,” junior Chase Imbrone Potchen said. “Seeing all of CPHS get together and showcase all of its cool aspects and clubs is simply great.”
English teacher and pep rally MC Mr. Lambersie is a major part of the rally. “A great aspect of the pep rally is that I am given some special words to say at the pep rally by my wife that I have to incorporate naturally into my speech,” Lambersie said. “I would say it is fun and it is an amusing time.”
After the rally, the Crown Point Homecoming Parade takes place in the city that evening, the homecoming football game that night, and the homecoming dance takes place as the closing of the eventful week.
