Senior Jonah Kalarski is a student at Crown Point High School. After taking forensics, just one of the many electives that the high school provides students, he was able to narrow down his options for his future.
His love for figuring out blood splatters or whose footprints are which, and just doing DNA analysis in general is what truly sparked his interest in the subject. Although he loved the labs and his knowledge seemed to flourish when he was receiving a hands-on learning experience he was not opposed to taking notes. Not only did he like listening to the lectures that the teacher would go through but he was also able to apply what he had learned during the teachings to the labs that they would do later in the year.
Due to him becoming interested in forensics, he plans to further his education at Purdue University majoring in forensic psychology. Learning about the relation between the brain and crimes is something that he is forever excited to learn about. Once he receives his degree his plans to come home could potentially work out in his favor. There are two forensics labs that reside in Lake County. One of them being in nearby Lowell, Indiana. There he will apply and hopefully continue his long journey in the criminal justice road.
