With her creative mind, and some nail polish, Sadie Pogose knows how to make a masterpiece on someone’s nails.

Ever since Sadie Pogose (10) was young, she has been a creative person. With her vivid imagination, she was always doodling, painting, or trying out a new way of art. Because of her creative outlook and eager ability to learn something new, she started looking into doing nail art.

“I’ve always loved doing any type of art, and one day I started seeing nail art pop up a lot more and it interested me. I ended up trying it a few times, people really liked what I could do and wanted me to do their nails,” Pogose said.

Like any other beginner, when Pogose had a bit of a learning curve because of how different doing nails was from conventional art. Although when she started she understood how to do everything, she also knew there was a lot of room for improvement. Pogose had the nail art part down, but she struggled with making the “perfect” base.

“Using the nail brushes and applying the monomer was the most difficult for me because it was really hard to learn how to be super precise so the nail base could look good and smooth,” Pogose said.

Pogose’s favorite thing about doing nails is the art part. She enjoys the challenge of making hard and fun nails that test her abilities. After school, she usually goes home to practice, look at new nail styles, and figure out her next project.

“My favorite product to use is blooming gel because it can totally change the way your nails look. It makes someone’s nails turn into something really fun, and I love it because I feel like no one gets fun nails anymore,” Pogose said.

Overall, Pogose’s ability to try something new, and go with it, has led her to find something she truly loves. She has found a way to creatively express herself in a way that not only looks good but makes her feel proud.
