Many students are continuing to find alternative avenues to expose their talents. As senior Cadence Burnett is nearing the end of the school year, she begins to think more about what she can do to secure her job as a tattoo artist.
Knowing from a young age, Burnett would constantly look up to her older cousin and the drawings that he would do, figuring out that she was destined to go into a career revolving around the arts. Growing up she knew she enjoyed drawing and as she progressed her art became better each time. Now she is getting to the point where she has to expose herself to the tattooing world.
One of the many things that she has to do in order to secure a job at a tattoo shop is go around from door to door showing different artists the sketches that she drew up in her sketchbook, from there they will decide whether or not she will be a good fit for their environment.
Although it is not a conventional way of learning as compared to going to college, Burnett is excited to succeed in what she enjoys most. She plans on doing this job long term and the only thing that really matters to her is that she loves what she does.
