Stash balances soccer with his other sports and hobbies

As a kid, Kam Stash (10) tried many other sports before finding his passion for soccer inspired by his brothers. Since around third grade, soccer has stuck with him above all the other sports he tried.
“My brother started playing it and then got me into it. So I fell in love with it when I was young,” Stash said. “I specifically enjoyed the team aspect. I know you play on teams with other sports, but there’s something about your team where you connect more than other sports.”
Stash joined the JV team at the high school and has had to adapt to keep up his confidence. This season, Stash typically played on the wings, specifically in the left wing.
“Confidence is a big thing with that many people on the roster,” Stash said. “So when you’re not playing as much as you feel like you should be, you have to keep your confidence up and stay with it.”
The season has had its ups and downs but overall went well with the JV team winning the majority of their games.
“This season went pretty well. The JV team lost only four games. We had a pretty good season,” Stash said. “Against our DAC opponents, our most high-level opponents, we were undefeated but one game.”

Outside of soccer, Stash does wrestling and plays video games.
“Wrestling specifically is just a lot of discipline, so if you can keep up with wrestling, you can keep up with everything,” Stash said.
On top of those sports and hobbies, Stash hopes to pursue a career in the trades or attend college for athletics. His family is involved in the construction and electrician business, and he leaves that open for his future.
