Crown Point High School introduced a brand new addition to the cafeteria, one that has been under construction for almost two years. The new Bulldog Bistro offers a new breakfast and beverage area while selling snacks and beverages at lunchtime.
The cafeteria staff has been extremely excited for this brand new addition to the school.
“It has been a long time coming and we’re happy to see it all coming together,” CPHS Food Manager Cynthia Beck said. “We feel like it is a great addition to what we can offer students and staff.”
Students are big fans of what the Bistro has to offer.
“Coffee at only $2 is well worth the price, especially compared to relative coffee prices such as what Starbucks has to offer,” junior Sebastian Mesa said.
The wide variety of drinks that the Bistro offers is something that students also seem to absolutely love.
“I really enjoy the variety of coffees and slushies that are available to students,” junior Parker Niksch said.
While the Bistro has been selling snacks and beverages that were already being sold before, such as chips and juice, many new items have come to the menu. Hot and iced coffees and teas are being sold for $2 each. Slushies that come in multiple different flavors are available for $3. Specialty coffees such as mochas, lattes, macchiatos, and hot chocolate are being sold for $4.
All payments are completed through the My MealTime account, the same account that students and staff have been using to purchase their breakfast and lunch for years. Balances can always be updated through the My MealTime mobile app or they can be updated through cash or check at any register in the cafeteria.
