With the second semester coming to an end, senior Isabella Jackson finalizes her plans. What is she planning on going into? Nursing, and she is extremely excited to get the opportunity to help others. She plans on going to IU Bloomington, which is around a three hour drive from Crown Point. Even though it’s far, she knows that her family is close by. 

Jackson’s boyfriend’s mother is a nurse, and when she was first deciding what she was wanting to do for the rest of her life she really looked up to her. Not only did she have a huge impact on her decision, her grandfather did as well. After passing due to cancer, it really sparked her interest in healthcare, in hopes to help others who are struggling with something she knows about first hand. 

Her plans to be a nurse don’t end there. She not only wants to deal with patients of all ages, but more specifically babies. A long term goal Jackson has made for herself is to become a NICU nurse and work at a hospital where she is able to learn and grow as a nurse. 

Overall her hope to work in healthcare is not too far out, with much determination she will definitely succeed with ease.
