There are over 50 clubs and Alyssa Steagall (10) is a part of Best Buddies. She is one of the many important roles, like an officer, and is growing in her position and moving up.
“I’m an officer along with my other friends and our president Alexa,” Steagall said.
While being best buddies, she is grateful for what she has learned and continues to learn with friends.
“I’m very thankful for how supportive we are with inclusion and how everybody is welcomed whenever,” Steagall said
She’s often there whenever they have parties or just in school and makes memories.
“My favorite thing we do is the best buddies walk. We walk around Lake County Fairgrounds. It’s our biggest thing and a fun fundraiser for best buddies,” Steagall said.
Sticking with the club and being a part of it may help her in the future when applying for jobs or colleges.
”It’s a good background as it a US club and shows how much dedication to staying as a leader and becoming more,” Steagall said
Having patience, being a leader in a big club, and still being able to manage the challenging work at school takes a lot of time management.
