Having a busy life can often feel overwhelming, especially when you have multiple commitments pulling you in different directions. Peyton Powell (9) is no stranger to this challenge, managing a demanding schedule filled with extracurriculars, sports, and family time. She balances her time carefully, making sure to keep up with her responsibilities while still finding moments for enjoyment.
“I am in three extracurriculars other than swim, and I go to Chicago with my family a lot, so I’m very busy,” Powell said.
Despite her hectic schedule, Powell manages to balance a variety of activities. Her commitment to staying organized is key in juggling her extracurriculars, family time, and academic responsibilities. She is in Mock Trial, Pulse, and on the swim team.
“I make sure I train for swim, rehearse for mock trial, and get all my school work done before I get to do fun things,” Powell said.
Powell hangs out with her friends on the weekend and on time where she doesn’t have work to do. Powell doesn’t neglect her family members either, she creates time to spend time with her parents, grandparents, and siblings.
“Even though I do so much during and after school, I make sure to not forget about my relationships. I make time to hang out with my friends and spend time with my family,” Powell said
In the midst of her hectic life, Powell’s structured approach allows her to thrive. Whether it’s through her dedication to swim training, preparation for mock trial, or maintaining strong academic performance, she manages her commitments with discipline.
