Lambersie keeps education fun

Whether preparing students for college through AP Language and Composition or introducing them to high school through Honors English 9, English teacher John Lambersie does it all. In addition to teaching a multitude of English classes, Lambersie is also the coach for Academic Super Bowl and Spell Bowl.
“I plan educational opportunities for the students and then make sure those students go through those educational opportunities through my teaching,” Lambersie said.
Lambersie came to work and teach at CPHS for the 2007-2008 school year, and has been here ever since.
“I always enjoyed school,” Lambersie said. “I was one of those nerdy kids who enjoyed school. So I thought, ‘Hey, wouldn’t it be great if I stayed in school, but flipped the script and become a teacher there?’ So that’s why I wanted to become a teacher.”

Keeping the classroom positive can be a tough task for any teacher, but Lambersie accomplishes this by acting positive himself.
“You just have to go in and be positive yourself,” Lambersie said. “Gotta crack jokes and have fun because it’s all about a mental mindset. If you want to be miserable, things are only gonna be miserable. But if you wanna be positive, you gotta be positive.”
Through his years as a teacher, Lambersie has kept English classes fun and helped students through high school.
