Imagine you are swimming and all of a sudden your shoulder gives out. For senior Faith Choi, this was quite a frequent occurrence. Instead of complaining and thinking of the continuous shoulder injuries as a burden, she ultimately turned it into something that will benefit her in the upcoming future.

Competing in swimming and going through many shoulder injuries Choi was always walking in and out of physical therapists which inclined her to want to study PT. More specifically, Choi plans on getting a kinesiology degree and eventually hopes to become a neurological physical therapist. Having recently committed to Purdue she is now debating whether to really go. She received a letter acknowledging her acceptance to Madison, a university in Wisconsin, and is still working on going there.
The physical therapy environment has always been a welcoming one for Choi, and that mixed with her love for learning about the science of the body it just seemed to click.
“It seems like an invigorating career to go into,” Choi said.
After shadowing some physical therapist’s once or twice, she is ready for her new goals coming up ahead. Ready to create that same welcoming environment for a student just like her
