The Crown Point Academic Superbowl Team competed at state finals at Purdue University the weekend of May 6. There are 3 different events that the team participates in: Science, Fine Arts, and Interdisciplinary.

When the team left the competition, they thought they were walking away with two state championships in Fine Arts and Interdisciplinary along with a state runner-up in Science. However, due to a scoring error, the Academic Superbowl office administrators confirmed on May 8 that due to a scoring error, Crown Point actually came home with three state championships instead of just two.

The Science team consisted of Lucas Johnson, Avery Goldthorpe, and Max Poole. The Fine Arts Team consisted of Sarah Leitzel, Avery Goldthorpe, and Gavin Pulley. The Interdisciplinary Team consisted of Lucas Johnson, Avery Goldthorpe, Sonny Pape, Sarah Leitzel, and Adam Fucela. Congratulations to all of these students.
