Reily Beach (9) has been in band for three years now and it’s impacted her life in many different ways. She has always played the baritone and continues to play through high school.

“I joined band because my Grandpa was in band, and it just seemed cool and fun to play at the time,” Beach said.

Joining band changed Beach’s life, it became a huge part of her life and a big priority. Over the past few years, Beach has had to learn many pieces some being more difficult than others.

“The hardest piece I’ve played I don’t remember its name but it was really really fast and had a bunch of high notes,” Beach said.

Although Beach had to face different challenges while playing her baritone, she made many friends in the process. This also made it easier to transition into high school.

“It’s impacted my life because I got to make lots of friends and got to meet new people. It also made it a lot easier coming into the high school,” Beach said.

In the end, this has become a big part of Beach’s life. Beach didn’t just get to learn how to play the baritone but got to make lifelong memories and friendships in the process like many others who joined band.
