Seniors Emilee Lucht and Hayden Kay are new members of the Indiana High School Press Association Diana Hadley Honor Roll Class of 2024. This annual recognition is presented to individuals who have displayed journalistic excellence while maintaining the organization’s core values of truth, courage, integrity, and freedom throughout the school year.
Emilee Lucht (12) has put countless hours into the yearbook, news magazine, and Crown Town Media website. Lucht’s hard work has been recognized throughout the entire school and beyond.
“I am proud of the work I have accomplished over the last three years and will forever be grateful I got the experience to be in student media,” Lucht said.
Hayden Kay (12) served as Inklings Editor-in-Chief this year. Kay was in yearbook for two years prior to Inklings, and now focuses on newspaper and Crown Town Media. Kay has learned so much in just two years of being in journalism. She has learned how to ethically cover stories at the school and learned how to lead a team when she took over as editor-in-chief in newspaper this year.
“Being part of student media throughout high school has helped me gain confidence and given my writing purpose,” Kay said.
Both Lucht and Kay plan to pursue a career using their communication skills.
