Goals are what drive success; however, it is not the thought of the goal, but the actual action of pursuing that goal that leads you to achieve it.

For senior Ana Baron, going to Valparaiso University was a huge goal of hers since she was a freshman, starting on Crown Point’s high school tennis team. Not only does Valparaiso University provide great academics for Baron, but it also has a wonderful athletics program.
Apart from going to Valparaiso University for tennis, she plans on majoring in psychology. Since sophomore year, when she took AP psychology, she has found it incredibly interesting to learn about the brain in a different way. Another re-enforcer of her love for psychology was her mother, who taught it at Merrillville High School. She was exposed to the study of the brain early on.
Placing her family first, Baron states that she has always looked up to her sister, Alex Baron, who is now a sophomore at Indiana University. According to Ana, she has always placed her academics first, is very smart, and she really flourished at school.
Wherever your goals may lead you, it’s the hard work and dedication you put into it that truly get you there.
