About the Contributors
Avery Moore, Editor-in-Chief
Avery Moore is a senior at Crown Point High School. This will be her fourth year on the Inklings staff, and she is Co-Editor-in-Chief for the 2025-26 newspaper. She has always loved to write, and she joined Inklings as a freshman to try to deepen that love. Outside of Inklings, she can be found running for the Cross Country and Track teams, debating on Mock Trial, or reading a thriller novel.
Annabella Angarone, Editor-in-Chief, CPTV Staffer
Annabella Angarone is a junior at Crown Point High School and is the co-editor-in-chief of the Inklings newspaper, and this is her third year on staff. This is also Angarone’s first year on the radio and TV staff for CPTV. When she is not writing or designing for Inklings, she takes part in the Show Choir and the Bulldog Ballroom club. Even though Angarone still has a few years before college, since she was seven years old, she has been writing screenplays for her future career.
Ma’Rae Wallace, Video Director
Ma’Rae Wallace is a senior at Crown Point High School. This will be her third year on the Inklings staff, and this year she is the Video Director. As a person with a love for writing, she joined the newspaper to grow as a writer and as a person. Outside of Inklings, she dances at The Cross Church, reads, sings, and even works at the local Culver’s. She is happy to spend her final year of high school creating final memories to last a lifetime.
Dan Dommer, Crown Town Media Assistant Director
Dan Dommer is a junior at Crown Point High School. This is her second year on the Inklings Staff, and she is the Crown Town Media Assistant Director for the 25-26 newspaper. Dommer joined newspaper to improve her writing skills and to meet new people. When not writing for the newspaper, she likes creating jewelry, performing with the school’s color guard, or working at Strack and Van Til.
Mason Erbini, Lead Writer and Business Manager
Mason Erbini is a senior at Crown Point High School. This will be his third year as a Lead Writer on the Inklings Staff and his second year as the Business Manager. Outside of Inklings, Erbini serves as an Indiana State Officer for Business Professionals of America, President of the school’s Speech and Debate Team, and is a Board Member for the Crown Point Chamber of Commerce. After high school, he intends to pursue a college major in the field of Economics.
Rico Ardister, CPTV Staff, Excalibur Staff, Lead Writer
Driven by working in the media and production world since he was 7, Rico Ardister, now a Junior at Crown Point High School, is a dedicated member of the CPTV media team, where he channels his creativity into the world of radio and TV. Rico is actively involved in two podcasts on The Dog Radio: The Mystery Machine, which he co-hosts with Rana Stevens, and The Reel Review with Two Regulah Guyz, which is also a co-hosted show with Barandon Boling. These two shows showcase his versatility both on air and behind the scenes. This year marks Rico’s first year joining Excalibur Yearbook, and he has joined Inklings Newspaper this semester, further expanding his involvement in student journalism. Beyond media, he is a passionate global warming activist and a political voice on social media platforms, using his influence to advocate for environmental action and engage in important conversations. What began as an appreciation for storytelling has become a passion and an excessive outlet for him. With a blend of outgoing charm and thoughtful introspection, Ardister is focused on honing his media production and speaking skills to share compelling stories and explore new ideas with a diverse audience.
Abbigail Conway, Website and Social Media Director
Abbigail Conway is a senior at Crown Point High School. This is Conway’s third year on staff. She is the Website and Social Media Director for Yearbook and Inklings Newspaper. Conway’s love for photography encouraged her to join photojournalism her freshman year, introducing her to yearbook and later Inklings. Conway works at Twisted Sugar as a mixologist. Outside of the journalism lab, Conway is actively involved in the school’s advanced orchestra, color guard, theatre’s pit orchestra, and is the orchestra’s music librarian.
Iris Estrada, Photo Manager
Iris Estrada is a senior at Crown Point High School. This will be her second year on the Inklings staff, and she is the Photo Manager. She also participates in the school’s speech and debate team in Lincoln-Douglas and Informative. She is also a communications executive for NWI Organization More Action for Students. After high school, Estrada plans to become an attorney with a focus on immigration.
Anna Sorci, Lead Writer and Assitant Photography Editor
Anna Sorci is a sophomore at Crown Point High School. This year will be her first year on the Inklings staff. Sorci is a Lead Writer and Assistant Photography Editor for the 2025-2026 school year.
Payton Spargo, Lead Writer
Payton Spargo is a junior at Crown Point High School. This year will be her first year on the Inklings Staff. Spargo is a Lead writer for the 2025-2026 school year. She joined the newspaper crew primarily because of her love of writing and enjoying being able to write freely as classwork. When Spargo is not writing for the newspaper, she is most likely in the gym, playing her guitar, or watching some random horror series she found on Netflix.
Julia Brutto, Lead Writer and Assistant Print Designer
Julia Brutto is a sophomore at Crown Point High School. This is her first year on the Inklings staff. She is a Lead Writer and Assistant Print Designer for the 2025-2026 school year. She joined to continue to develop her writing skills and to get the chance to write about things she’s passionate about. Outside of Inklings, she is busy playing lacrosse, attending youth group, and working on her schoolwork.
Allie Landgrave, Lead Writer and Assistant Business Manager
Allie Landgrave is a sophomore at Crown Point High School. This year will be her first year on the Inklings staff. Landgrave is a Lead Writer for the 2025-2026 school year. She joined the Inklings staff due to her love of writing and informing. When she’s not writing for the newspaper, she enjoys listening to music, swimming, and ballroom dancing.
Devion Outten, Lead Writer and Print Designer
Devion Outten is a senior at Crown Point High School. This will be his first year on the Inklings Staff, and he is a Lead Writer and Print Designer for the 2025-2026 newspaper. He joined the newspaper to primarily sharpen his writing skills, become more involved with the high school, and dip his hands into the publications field. When he is not writing for the newspaper, he is normally participating in other extracurriculars such as Key Club or Speech and Debate, listening to music, or taking random pictures of stuff he finds interesting.
Jori Terpstra, Lead Writer and Assistant Design Manager
Jori Terpstra is a sophomore at Crown Point High School. This is her first year on the Inkling staff. Terpstra is a Lead Writer and an Assistant Design Manager for the 2025-2026 school year. She joined because of her passion for writing and design, hoping to learn more about that aspect. Outside of journalism, she works hard to maintain her grades and likes to relax after a long school day.
