The Boys Track and Field Team says farewell to members who have contributed to broken records and fun memories. Whether they crossed the finish line, jumped to extreme heights and lengths, or threw discs to immeasurable distances, the seniors on the team came prepared for every meeting with a goal. To show up for their teammates and coaches. Having been on the team all four years, Dane Hayden (12) came in his freshman year with the hope of establishing himself as a leader and someone others can learn from. “I want to remember how much I grew as a leader and as a role model to those who may look up to me and know the sacrifices it takes to be an effective leader,” Hayden said. “I think the team will be able to truly learn from me and everything I have put forward to the team once I graduate. Absence in anything in life speaks louder and represents anything more than something in the moment can. The team will be able to learn the value of leadership and how to be leaders once the ones they look up to are gone.”
