Mejan’s design will be shown on billboards throughout the county from September 8 – 14. Mejan first decided to enter the contest because he thought being on a billboard and the cash prize were very appealing. “I decided to enter the contest because I thought the cash prize and being on the billboard was very enticing, and I thought, why pass up on this cool opportunity?” Mejan said. This is also another opportunity for Mejan to use on his college applications, as they might have more interest in him. “It felt really cool [to win the contest], especially since it was going to be on billboards, and I thought, ‘Wow, that´s not something many people can say.’ This would also be good for art colleges, and they might be a little more interested in me when I mention I was on a billboard,” Mejan said.
