The White House is currently undergoing reconstruction with plans to add a ballroom to the establishment. The ballroom will be located where the East Wing of the White House currently sits.
One of the reasons for this change is due to the lack of space inside of the building to host events. Up until now, events had to be hosted in a tent nearly 100 yards away from the White House itself.
The project began in September 2025 and is expected to be completed before the end of President Trump’s term. The ballroom will cost approximately $200 million to build, with funds provided by the President and other donors.
McCrery Architects hired for the project are excited to bring this renovation to life. “I am honored that President Trump has entrusted me to help bring this beautiful and necessary renovation to The People’s House, while preserving the elegance of its classical design and historical importance,” CEO Jim McCrery said.
