The boys wrestling team went to Mount Carmel High School on Friday, Jan. 16 for their annual Border Wars. The dual started with a few exhibitionary matches. The varsity team ended up winning against Carmel. Crown Point had three pins from Clinton Shepherd, Cesar Salas, and Tony Brooks. Clinton Shepherd, however, was awarded pin of the night and Sonny Sessa was awarded match of the night. Crown Point won against Carmel in a close dual 39-24.

Isabella Valenzuela is a senior at CPHS. This is Valenzuela’s fourth year on the Excalibur staff. Valenzuela is Co-Editor-in-Chief for Excalibur Yearbook. Valenzuela appreciates the design and photography aspects of yearbook. She enjoys going to different games and taking photos. Outside of being in yearbook, Valenzuela is a part of Student Council and manages wrestling. Valenzuela plans on majoring in Biochemistry in college.
