Dogs Wrestling Destroys the Trojans

The CPHS Wrestling teams went up against the Chesterton Trojans on Dec. 6, 2023. The JV team ended with a score of 60-18 over the Trojans. The Women’s varsity ended tied 12-12 with one forfeit and a pin from Amelia Westfall. The Varsity team ended the duals with a score of 69-3. The Bulldogs got an impressive 8 pins out of 14 with 2 tech falls.

The Varsity Wrestling team will be at the Walsh Jesuit Ironman Invitational in Ohio this weekend. The JV team will represent the CPHS Varsity team at the Beat the Streets Brawl in Chicago on Saturday.

Emilee Lucht is a senior at Crown Point High School. This is Lucht’s third year on the Excalibur Yearbook staff. She is the Crown Town Media Director and the Advanced Sports Editor of the Excalibur Yearbook. She loves photography and the many different aspects that surround it. Lucht started taking pictures in 7th grade and continued from there. She not only loves taking pictures for school-related things but also senior pictures and portrait pictures. Other than yearbook, Lucht is involved in managing the Wrestling Team. She has been managing since her sophomore year and has been co-head manager since her junior year.
