Band, Choir, and Orchestra come together to create the Holiday Spectacular

For the first time in recent history, the advanced band, choir, and orchestra classes perform classic holiday music together

The Advanced Choir, Chorale, Advanced Orchestra, Jazz Band, and Wind Ensemble performed songs such as Christmas Time Is Here, Toboggan, Hallelujah, and Sleigh Ride. The groups were conducted by teachers Johann Sletto, William Woods, and Aaron Zemelko; along with student teacher Ricky Paz. Soloists include students Jack Euteneier, Preston Matthysse, Sam Zivkovich, and Andrew Luri.

Raquel Ruffin
Raquel Ruffin, Design Editor
Raquel Ruffin is a Junior at Crown Point High School, and it is her second year on the Excalibur Yearbook staff. She has always had a passion and interest in photography and design that she has been nurturing through classes such as photojournalism, Graphic Imaging Technology, and yearbook. Outside of yearbook, Ruffin is a stage manager for the CPHS Theatre department as well as a member of the light and sound crew. Ruffin is also involved in NHS, NAHS, Student Council, CASS, and the school's graphic design club, SPLAT. Ruffin loves exploring many different creative aspects of her life through all of these activities.
Makenna Carmichael
Makenna Carmichael is a junior at Crown Point High School. This is Carmichael’s second year on staff. Carmichael’s love for photography and writing drove her to join the yearbook staff. When not in yearbook, Carmichael enjoys performing with the school’s Color Guard, doing art in National Art Honor Society and Art Club, working with the theater’s publicity crew, and working at the Practically Magic Garden. Carmichael hopes to one day become a speech pathologist.
Vivian Keene
Vivian Keene, Public Relations Manager
Vivian Keene is a junior at Crown Point High School. This is Keene’s third year on the Excalibur Yearbook staff, but she was also on her middle school staff in 7th and 8th grade. Keene has grown up in the J-Lab and has gone to conventions since she was little because her mom has been the advisor for 13 years. Outside of yearbook, Keene is involved in NHS, Pulse, and HBC. In the future, Keene hopes to pursue a career as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
