Q: What is the Robotics program about?
A: The Robotics program we have at CPHS allows us to compete against other schools/teams with the designs that we create.
Q: What would you say to an upcoming robotics team member?
A: One of the most important aspects of robotics is collaboration. Do not be afraid to talk and communicate with other teams that you compete with.
Q: What skills have you learned during your time in your extracurriculars?
A: To be completely honest, the biggest skill I have gained is time management. Learning how to balance everything in my life with another extracurricular in robotics was a challenge. Being able to do it vastly improved my time management skills.
Q: Have you been able to apply any of these skills in the real world? If so what skills?
A: In regards to the actual engineering aspect of robotics, I have applied the design software used for the creation of our robot, which has also been used to make other things.
Q: What is your most valued memory during your time in robotics?
A: Besides the people that I have met through the program, the single most impactful memory from robotics was winning the “Build” Award at the World Championship in Dallas, Texas.
Q: Are you planning on going into a profession regarding engineering? If so, what are your plans?
A: Yes, I am planning on majoring in Computer Engineering at Purdue University.
