Noble overcomes challenges while learning about her internship
Janey Noble

For Janey Noble, animals are a big part of her life. Since she enjoys being around animals, being a taxidermist is her dream. Noble wishes one day to be as good as her co workers and open her own store.

Noble’s interest in taxidermy has been there for a while, and her love has grown when she started collecting her own animals.

“I have been interested in Taxidermy for as long as I could remember, and my love for it has grown with my one personal collection,” Noble said.

It can be accomplished to do something big, and for Noble being able to taxidermy bigger animals would be her goal.

“Someday I hope to see myself doing big animals such as deer or elk, as they are my favorite animals and I would be very accomplished to get to that point,” Noble said.

It can be challenging being new, but Noble has overcome by learning how to be a good taxidermist through her coworkers.

“One challenge I still am overcoming is being the ‘new person” at the studio, Noble said. “I am surrounded by others who has practiced taxidermy longer than I have been alive, and as I hone my skills and take as much info and techniques as I can, and hope to be as good as my coworkers someday.”

In the future, Noble would like to open her own store or continue working at her internship.

“When I am older I would either like to continue working at the place I am currently at, or maybe doing my own personal freelance work,” Noble said.

For some this is a science, but for Noble she views it more as an art form, and it takes an art background to be able to capture the animal correctly.

“You need to have a little art background and knowledge to capture the animal right. It can be used for science, but it is definitely more of an art to me,” Noble said.

In all, doing an internship allowed Noble to experience new opportunities, and find the career that fit her the best.
