Crown Point High School’s converged media program swept the Indiana High School Press Association Hoosier Star Awards. All Crown Town Media news outlets including Inklings News, Excalibur Yearbook, Crown Town Media Website and CPTV News were named Division III Hoosier Star Winners, which is the highest designation in the state. This is the first time all four news outlets won the top holistic state awards in the same year.
Additionally, Crown Point also won multiple Rowena Harvey Awards. These awards recognize outstanding individual and staff achievements in responsible, effective journalism according to the Indiana High School Press Association.
Crown Point High School Inklings Editor-in-Chief Annabella Angarone said, “Winning all of these awards for the Inklings newspaper has been such an honor. Being a
part of such an amazing staff has just been so fulfilling in my high school career. All of my staff members truly all work together to create such a put together product every year and I am immensely proud of them all.”
The IHSPA named the Excalibur Yearbook, Inklings Newsmagazine, CPTV News Broadcast and Crown Town Media Website as Hoosier Star Winners. This is the top holistic award for scholastic journalism in Indiana.
