The competition was held at the Carpenters Apprentice School in Merrillville. John Sims competed in Action Skills and will be moving on to State. “Mr. John Sims had to do a five-minute presentation on how to properly use a reciprocating saw and all the different uses of that saw,” Doug Sowash said. Aidan Slade earned the status of state runner-up.

Vivian Keene, Public Relations Manager
Vivian Keene is a junior at Crown Point High School. This is Keeneās third year on the Excalibur Yearbook staff, but she was also on her middle school staff in 7th and 8th grade. Keene has grown up in the J-Lab and has gone to conventions since she was little because her mom has been the advisor for 13 years. Outside of yearbook, Keene is involved in NHS, Pulse, and HBC. In the future, Keene hopes to pursue a career as a psychiatric nurse practitioner.
