On November 21, Wicked: For Good came out. This movie is the sequel to the film adaptation of the play “Wicked,” which was released in November 2024. The movie stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda. This movie follows Elphaba’s struggle to expose the Wizard as a phony and to save and protect the animals’ rights, while also following Glinda’s journey to becoming the popular witch of Emerald City.

Sprinkled into the movie were many powerful emotions such as joy, sadness, anger and betrayal. While watching this in the theater, I felt every song lyric and melody deep in my heart as if I were in the movie myself. From happy songs to sad, the soundtrack for this movie did not disappoint.

The second most important component of a musical is acting. In both movies, the acting was extremely impressive. The actors carried out their characters in a way that made the audience feel like they were realistic. Every emotion and every intention was expressed in just the right way.

One of the final elements in this movie was the visuals. The World of Oz was brought to us through this movie, and the visuals were breathtakingly beautiful. Every costume and building was constructed carefully with intricate details. Overall, this movie was an outstanding watch, and I would recommend watching it a million times over.
