After more than a decade, Nintendo finally brought forward an addition to the Tomodachi Life series, named Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream, and many fans could not be more excited. The original game was quite popular on the Nintendo 3DS for its strange humor and weird scenarios among player-created characters, called Miis.
Tomodachi Life never took being a life simulator seriously compared to others, such as The Sims, Stardew Valley or Animal Crossing: New Horizons. In this game, players get to sit back and relax as they watch Miis live out their chaotic daily lives on a developing island. Every player’s island is unique in its own aspect, with customizable items, Miis and relationships. This new addition focuses on expanding the creativity present in the old installation while retaining the charm that made the original memorable in the 2010s.
One of the things that was found enjoyable about Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is that almost every aspect of the game is customizable: Miis, items and even the island. The game was designed in a way to ensure players can play how they want, when they want.
Senior Kliment Maleski agreed, saying, “It has more options to decorate, and it allows for more creativity by not having a filter.”
As excitement for the game continues to grow, Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream will continue to fuel the same nostalgic feeling present in the original, while showing ways to fuel creativity across all of Nintendo’s games.
