Pro:
Within one’s high school career, it has become more and more common to host a graduation party when you become a senior. These parties are often times to reflect on memories and be around others who you spent your high school time with and just ultimately celebrate the next chapter of your life. Graduation parties, commonly known as “grad parties” offer seniors to have a great end to their senior year and start to become excited based on what is to come within their future. These fun parties give seniors and others the opportunity to possibly see the graduate before they head off to college whether that be local or abroad. These parties can offer seniors the ability to have a fun and enjoyable social event before heading to college.
“Graduation parties allow for one last personal reunion with all your piers and can strengthen those relationships to last into your college years and even more,” junior Eddie Miranda said.
Con:
After high school graduation, most graduates typically host an event known as a “grad party.” These parties exist to celebrate the graduates, and while the event itself is nice, the planning process almost does not make it worth it. Grad parties can take up to months to plan out a date, time and send out RSVPs. The planning is usually extremely stressful for the graduate and their family too, since it takes so long to plan and tweak up any final requirements to make it the absolute best event it can be.
“I personally find parties super stressful when it is something for myself because planning and getting things ready can be a lot,” senior Jayla Miller said.
