Thanksgiving is the holiday most known for indulging in a large feast, usually having the main course be ham or turkey with many extra side dishes. The question is: which one of those side dishes is the best? There are many options, some of which are stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, bread rolls, corn, and the best of all: cranberry sauce. Out of all these options, cranberry sauce has to be the best choice for a side dish. The semi-sweet tartness mixed with the flavor of the cranberries used makes it absolutely delectable. More specifically, the best kind is the canned cranberry jello. Every year when those come out, it makes the holiday dinner a whole lot more worth it. It adds sweetness without being too sweet, and it is not as savory as the other sides, so it stands out even more. Other sides, such as mashed potatoes, corn, and bread rolls, are great choices as well, but the real star of the show has to be the cranberry sauce. Especially when mixed with other sides, such as biscuits or mashed potatoes, it adds extra flavors and textures that can add to the side dish, making it even better. Compared to these other options, cranberry sauce has to be the way to go when choosing a Thanksgiving side dish to pair with the main course.
