Bulldogs Beat Pirates

Last week’s Friday Night Lights game was won by the Bulldogs against Merrillville Pirates. The score was 39-6, a conference win for the bulldogs.

Senior Camden Sorci states, “I felt like we really came together as a team and we didn’t really focus on them [Merrillville Pirates], we focused on ourselves and the game plan that we had. We came out there and executed and we played CP dogs football.“

After last weeks’ win, this helps to solidify a strong start for the varsity bulldogs.

Coach Buzz states, “I thought the game went as well as expected, obviously we played a very quality opponent and I think our guys executed and did what they needed to do to get the win. But with all that being said there’s a lot of work to do. I know that our guys are looking forward to this week against Lake Central.”

At the start of the game, the cheer team had their Kiddie Camp, which was filled with young cheerleaders who performed a routine.

Cheer Coach Danielle Takacs states, “Kiddie Camp was a great success this year, we had over 116 participants. So for 2 days they came and learned chants, cheers, and stunting with our cheerleaders and they performed our camp cheer and dance. I think they had a lot of fun and enjoyed being in front of the big crowd and seeing everyone cheering and rooting for them, so it was a great experience for all of us.”  This helps boost community involvement for Crown Point High School.

Friday, September 8th, the Bulldogs face Lake Central.  The theme for the game is USA.  Wear your red, white, and blue and show your country pride.
